About Us

Where It Began

"Spirtaura" began the way many good Georgian stories do — with friendship, curiosity, and experimentation. Ten years ago, two friends became fascinated by how vodka is actually made. They had more enthusiasm than knowledge — and turned an ordinary multicooker into their first still. What started as an experiment became a passion, and that passion became Spirtaura.

A Living Tradition

In Georgia, home distilling is not just a hobby — it's heritage. For generations, our ancestors distilled their own spirit, and it was an inseparable part of the Georgian table.

The Name

The name says it all: Spirtaura — "spirt" (spirit) and "aura," fused into one word. The drink, and the feeling it creates.

Old Soul, Modern Hands

We blend an old distilling tradition with refined, modern technology. In a small room in the heart of Tbilisi, we produce 96.6% rectified spirit — the kind normally reserved for massive industrial factories. Our quality comes not from scale, but from care and precision.

Known by Name

We source our grains and grapes from farmers in Imereti, Kakheti, and Mtskheta-Mtianeti — people we know personally. There is no anonymous supply chain here.

Clean to the Last Drop

Our product is so clean that despite its high alcohol content, it drinks smoothly and pleasantly. Strength without harshness.

Come find us. At Dezerter Bazaar, on the corner of Tsereteli and King Tamar avenues.
